Your new extruded landscape border has just been installed today. It is an attractive, durable product that will last for years. Please follow the guidelines below for the next few days.

1. The concrete curb should be sprayed with a light mist of water two or three times over the next 24 hrs. This helps the curing process.

2. Keep pets, children ad objects away from the curb for at least 24 hrs. This will allow the curb to harden sufficiently enough to touch without damage.

3. Efflorescence (white powder substance) can appear on occasion and does not look good on curbing. It is generated from water sprinkling systems and can also appear after a rain storm. This can be removed with a solution of 50/50 vinegar and water with a light brushing. Eventually efflorescence will disappear entirely.

4. Curbing with colour may appear splotchy over the first weeks after installation while it is curing. The full curing period is 28 days and the splotching will go away. This is not to be confused with efflorescence.

5. Damage to the curbing caused by lawnmowers or snow shovels etc. is not covered under our warranty. We will repair any such damage but we will charge a minimum $200 for this service.

6. Concrete curbs like any other concrete product can and will crack. We experience very little cracking in our products: however, if it should crack, we will replace the damaged section at no charge during the warranty period. However, it is important to note that repairs can be difficult to match in coloured concrete because it is very difficult to match colours. Sometimes the cure is worse than the ill. A hairline crack can be much less noticeable than a patch or discoloration in the curbing.

7. For flower beds and borders we do not dig below the sod line. Therefore we are not responsible for any damage to cable, telephone, sprinkler lines, or any other buried items.

8. Your curbing has a one year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. It will be replaced at no charge if the defect is caused by the materials we use or the way it was installed by our workers.
